The Good Growth Foundation is looking for an intern to join our team. This isn’t a ‘sit back and take notes’ internship: you’ll be at the heart of a fast-moving think tank, working on big ideas, high-profile events, and campaigns that influence decision-makers. You’ll get stuck in with everything from political research to stakeholder engagement, media work, and event execution. If you’re entrepreneurial, politically engaged, and hungry to make an impact, this is for you.
About the Good Growth Foundation
The Good Growth Foundation (GGF) is a dynamic think tank on a mission to shape the future of our economy through bold political research and advocacy. We believe that opportunity is the key to a thriving, inclusive economy, and we’re here to challenge the status quo. Using polling, focus groups, and deep policy analysis, we develop solutions that align with both public needs and business realities.
We campaign on critical issues like creating a workforce for the future, navigating trade relationships, and empowering businesses - big and small - to drive sustainable growth. Every individual, community, and region should have a chance to contribute. We campaign for a fairer economy, so growth can work for good.
What you’ll be doing
1) Keep GGF running at full speed
Own the diary - schedule key meetings, coordinate with senior figures, and make sure we’re in the right rooms with the right people.
Handling scheduling, prioritisation, and follow-ups to keep meetings efficient and impactful.
2) Be at the heart of our network.
Track the key players in politics, business, and media—tracking who matters and making sure we’re talking to them. Get involved in everything from behind-the-scenes briefings to high-profile events that put our work in front of decision-makers.
Spot opportunities, set up meetings, and keep conversations moving so ideas turn into action.
Make sure our research and campaigns cut through—landing with the people who can shape policy, shift debate, and drive real change.
3) Bring together unmissable events that set the agenda.
Support the team to design and deliver events where people don’t just show up, but leave with a new perspective and a plan of action.
From buzzing receptions to public panels that put big ideas in front of ministers, you’ll create moments that get things moving.
Manage logistics, secure venues, and make sure every event has the right people in the room. Handle guest lists, prepare briefings, and ensure events leave a lasting impact.
4) Power our partnerships.
Identify and support the senior team in pitching to businesses as event partners, securing the support that takes our work further.
Craft compelling proposals and make the case for why GGF’s work matters.
5) Driver our digital campaigning.
Help shape and execute a social media strategy that gets GGF noticed by the right people.
Create sharp, engaging content that amplifies our research, events, and campaigns.
Monitor trends and political moments, making sure we’re part of the conversation at the right time.
6) Turn data into action.
Watch focus groups, pull out the most powerful quotes, and analyse polling results to uncover what really matters to voters and businesses.
Dive into economic data, spot the trends, and help shape our insights.
Draft sharp, impactful briefings that distil complex research into clear, persuasive insights for key stakeholders.
7) Shape our message and drive impact.
Draft blog posts, press releases, and articles that bring our ideas to life.
Support the team to launch bold, attention-grabbing campaigns that push the government, business, and the media to take action.
Find creative ways to tell our story—whether it’s crafting compelling narratives, producing engaging content, or landing our ideas in the headlines.
Who we’re looking for
A self-starter—you don’t wait to be told what to do; you take the lead and make things happen.
A natural organiser—you can juggle tasks, manage deadlines, and keep things moving.
Someone who sees opportunities where others see problems—and moves fast to capitalise on them.
Politically plugged in—you follow the debate, understand the landscape, and know what matters.
Curious and analytical—you love digging into research, spotting trends, and shaping ideas.
Experience in politics, campaigning, think tanks, or a fast-moving startup environment is a plus—but attitude and energy matter more than a perfect CV.
This isn’t just another think tank internship. You’ll have the chance to shape the direction of a fast-growing, influential organisation, work on issues that matter, and see your ideas turn into reality.
To apply
Please email your CV, a short cover letter and two answers to the questions below to Louisa on louisa@goodgrowthfoundation.co.uk.
Please answer two of the four questions below of your choosing.
1) You're running a political campaign on any economic or social issue of your choice. Describe your campaign, the trade-offs needed for the change to happen, and how you would convince swing voters and the Government to support it. (250 words)
2) Write an event proposal that would attract a high-profile speaker. Explain why the speaker would want to participate, and what GGF would gain from hosting the event. (250 words)
3) Propose a progressive economic policy that would appeal to voters who are leaning away from Labour and towards Reform. Your policy should be fiscally credible and work to reduce inequality. You do not need to cost the policy, but do consider different variables that would affect the fiscal credibility. (250 words)
4) Reducing household bills or achieving 95% clean power by 2030—which is the better path to 'good growth'—or do we need both? Make your case. (250 words)
Closing Date: Friday, April 24th 2026
